Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place runner in each age group for men and women during a medal ceremony immediately following the completion of the event. Medal winners are required to participate to receive medals. All medal winners are eligible to represent South Carolina at the State Games of America (http://stategamesofamerica.com/) in the future. State Games of America rules will be used to determine your age group at the National Championships. You will be permitted to compete in the older age group even if you age out of the younger age group for which you qualified.

State Games South Carolina has negotiated discounted rates at select hotels that are within a 5 mile drive to Upward Star Center.
Rules & Regulations
All South Carolina residents, college students and military personnel who have lived in the state of South Carolina for at least 30 days prior to the day of competition may compete. South Carolina residents attending college or serving in the military in another state are also eligible to compete.

Age groups are 5 year increments starting at 10 years old. Age group is your age on race day.
10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
Participants will run 5 kilometers on a rolling course that winds its way through the beautiful Lake Conestee Nature Park. All surfaces are paved with the exception of a short section of wooden boardwalk and smooth dirt.
There will be no advanced packet pick up. Participants will pick up their numbers at the main pavilion at Lake Conestee Nature Park. We will accept race day registrations from 7:30-8:30am on June 3, 2017 at the main pavilion.
